Help Us Prevent Lung Cancer Through Radon Mitigation

What we need: $6,000 to $14,000 to fix 4-8 homes for low-income families in Maine.

Why we need your help: Since the Fall of 2019, the Maine Indoor Air Quality Council has been partnering with other Maine nonprofits to test the radon-in-air levels of low-income homes in Maine.

Statewide testing data helps us estimate that between 4 and 8 of the homes we test will require mitigation, for a total expenditure of $6,000 to $14,000.

Your donation of any size on #GivingTuesday takes us one step closer towards achieving that goal to protect vulnerable Maine families from lung cancer due to radon exposure.

Test your own home or share a test with a neighbor or friend: Make a donation of any amount to our radon mitigation fund on or after #GivingTuesday, and we’ll send you a radon test kit to use in your own home, or to give to a neighbor or friend.
