About the Organization – Who We Are & What We do
Purpose: Buildings are for people. Poor indoor environments can adversely impact human health, productivity, and comfort and increase use of energy resources and damage the built structure. The Council will promote best practice resources, education, advocacy, and training to owners, managers, occupants, and others on strategies to design, construct, operate and maintain indoor environments for health, productivity, comfort, and environmental sustainability.
Mission: “Create healthy, productive, environmentally-sustainable indoor environments through education, communications, and advocacy”
Vision: We envision people living, working, learning and playing in buildings that are clean, dry, pollutant-pest free, safe, comfortable, ventilated, and energy efficient.
